"The costs arising from the consumption of energy are not only a problem for those who live in industrialized countries, but also and especially for those who live in the most disadvantaged areas of the planet". These are the words of Michl Laimer, Assessor Environment of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano. A province-art in Italy for what concerns the construction-oriented energy savings.

With this in mind, the fair Klimahouse held in Bolzano last January, was presented a model first developed for housing in developing countries. A CasaClima prefabricated low cost can be used for temporary housing or other emergency, with fast-paced and features significantly higher than those of traditional "houses" prefabricated.

The project CasaClima prefabricated was sponsored by the Program on the Environment of the European Union (UNEP) and the Evangelical Monastery of Loccum in Germany, and was thought to the creation of about 1000 prefabricated homes in during next year to be sent to Africa .

These prefabricated houses can be assembled quickly and can ensure efficient energy level, so as to ensure maximum energy savings (and costs), and can also be easily dismantled and then re so they can be easily reused in different contexts.

Features the African Sustainable House (defined precisely by UNEP) are strict, and define a real small house rather than a simple "shack" (which too often is the medium and long term for the displaced in the event of emergencies ) by the cost of up to 5,000 euros for an area of about 50-60 square meters, plus a minimum cost for installation and maintenance.

The first prototype of prefabricated CasaClima was built by Salzgitter, and meets all requirements also boasts an excellent thermal insulation.
